Originally from Australia, Michael obtained his undergraduate degree in Dentistry from the University of Sydney. He then worked as a dentist in rural New South Wales in both Aboriginal health care and in private practice for 4 years. Following this he moved to New Zealand in 2019 to undertake his postgraduate training in Orthodontics at the University of Otago. Michael is registered in NZ as an orthodontic specialist and has worked as a qualified orthodontist for the last 2 years in both Australia and New Zealand. He really enjoyed his time in New Zealand and is happily making Southland his home. He is a member of the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons and is certified with the Australasian Orthodontic Board.

Michael likes to spend his free time skiing, tramping, travelling and enjoys the outdoors lifestyle that Southland has to offer.
